Raiganj is situated in the state of West Bengal in India with the geographical coordinates 25.62 N, 88.12 E. It is known for Kulick Bird Sanctuary which is the second largest bird sanctuary India, home to a large population of Asian openbills and other water birds. It is also famous for the Tulaipanji Rice, an indigenous aromatic rice cultivar grown mainly in the Raiganj sub-Division in Uttar Dinajpur District.
