The Centre for Buddhist Studies is an inter-disciplinary Centre, and is part of the Department of Philosophy. It aspires to impart education and conduct research on Buddha’s teachings on peace, liberation, and enlightenment that enable learners and scholars to study Buddhist Philosophy, Epistemology and Logic along with art, culture and history. It attempts to collect, preserve and publish rare manuscripts of Buddhists’ Philosophy; studies canonical literature along with ancient classical languages like Pali, Prakrit and Sanskrit; engages qualified faculties to teach the authentic books/ texts of Buddhism and conducts workshops, seminars and talks.
